What's the difference between Blackout vs. Room Darkening?

Blackout shades block 99%+ of light through the fabric and stops light shining through for maximum privacy available. Room darkening shades block 95%. For complete darkness, blackout is the right choice. We recommend an outside mount to minimize light gaps around the edges if you are not using curtains to complete your look and blackout functionality.
